Pseudotropheus williamsi “Blue Lips”

The Pseudotropheus williamsi Blue Lips is a striking Mbuna cichlid from Lake Malawi, distinguished by its intensely blue lips. This rare color nuance gives it a unique appearance and makes it a real eye-catcher in rock aquariums. Dominant males, in particular, display an especially vibrant color intensity.

This species is active and highly territorial, typical of Mbuna. A well-structured aquarium with plenty of rocks, caves, and visual barriers is crucial to manage aggression. Pseudotropheus williamsi "Blue Lips" can be kept very successfully in suitable company with other robust Mbuna species.
