The Petricola dwarf catfish ( Synodontis lucipinnis ) is a small, extremely peaceful catfish from Lake Tanganyika in East Africa. With its contrasting markings, bright white fin edges, and active behavior, it is one of the most popular Synodontis species in aquariums.
This species is often confused with Synodontis petricola , but remains somewhat smaller and is ideally suited for medium-sized aquariums. Synodontis lucipinnis is sociable, curious, and particularly lively in the evenings and at night. It is perfectly suited to Lake Tanganyika aquariums but can also be kept with other peaceful species.
