XL Microsorum pteropus

The XL pot (9 cm) contains large mother plants.

Microsorum pteropus is an aquatic fern from Asia that grows best on a root or stone, secured with nylon string until established.

If it is planted in the ground, the rootstock should not be covered, otherwise it may rot.

The plant can be easily propagated by dividing the horizontal rootstock (rhizome). It is easy to care for and thrives in almost all conditions, reaching a height of 15 to 30 cm.

The black spots on the underside of the leaves are spore containers (reproductive organs) and not a disease, as is often mistakenly assumed.
