The Leveretts hillstream loach ( Beaufortia kweichowensis ) is an exceptional wild-caught fish from the clear mountain streams of southern China. With its flattened body and large pectoral fins, it is perfectly adapted to life in strong currents. Its fascinating pattern in brown and olive tones with fine marbling makes it a highlight in any flowing aquarium.

This peaceful bottom dweller is one of the best algae eaters in the aquarium and is ideally suited for community tanks with plenty of oxygen and water movement.
