The Labidochromis Sunflower is a particularly colorful representative of the Mbuna cichlids from Lake Malawi. With its vibrant yellow base color and dark fin accents, it creates striking visual highlights and adds lively movement to the aquarium. This species is robust, active, and considered relatively peaceful for a Mbuna.
Labidochromis "Sunflower" can be kept successfully in groups and is ideally suited for structured rock aquariums. Sufficient hiding places, clear territorial structures, and a predominantly plant-based diet are essential to maintain their natural behavior and intense coloration.
