The L201 Orinoco Angel Pleco ( Hypancistrus sp. “L201” ) is a peaceful, attractive L-number catfish from the Río Orinoco in Venezuela. Its deep black base color with bright, contrasting spots makes it one of the most beautiful and popular members of the Hypancistrus group.
This catfish remains relatively small, reaching a final size of about 10–12 cm, and is ideally suited for community aquariums with other peaceful species. Hypancistrus L201 is primarily crepuscular and prefers to stay in caves or under roots.
