The L121 Worm Line Peckoltia ( Peckoltia braueri ) is an attractive, rare wild-caught specimen from the upper Rio Negro in Brazil. Its striking line pattern of golden-yellow and brown waves is reminiscent of the movement of worms – hence the name "Worm Line". This elegant, organic pattern makes the L121 a real eye-catcher in any South American aquarium.
Peckoltia braueri remains compact, reaching a final size of around 10–12 cm, and is a peaceful, calm L-number catfish that likes to hide in roots and caves. It prefers soft, slightly acidic water and is ideally suited for community aquariums with peaceful tank mates.

It accepts frozen and live foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, cyclops, and mussel meat, but also eats plant-based foods like spirulina, seaweed wafers, and vegetable chips. A piece of wood in the aquarium is readily used for rasping.

A shaded, well-structured aquarium with several caves offers optimal conditions. The golden-brown lines of the L121 are shown off to particularly good advantage against a dark substrate.
