The L030 Peppermint Pleco ( Spectracanthicus punctatissimus ) is a beautiful, rare wild-caught specimen from the Rio Tapajós in Brazil. It impresses with its deep black base color, which is covered with numerous, evenly distributed white spots – a contrast reminiscent of fresh peppermint, giving it its name.

The L030 is a peaceful, rather calm L-number catfish that primarily inhabits caves and shaded areas. Reaching a final size of around 12–14 cm, it remains medium-sized and is ideally suited for community aquariums with calm, non-aggressive tank mates.
