Creeping Staurogyne - Staurogyne repens

The creeping Staurogyne (Staurogyne repens) is a compact and robust plant that is ideal for the foreground of an aquarium.

It originally comes from the Rio Cristalino in Brazil and is characterized by its lower, bushy growth and smaller, green leaves, which distinguishes it from the Hygrophila.

With a growth height of only 5 to 10 cm, after the longest shoots have been cut back, it develops horizontal runners from the base, which spread out flatly on the ground and form an attractive carpet in the aquarium.
