The needle rush ( Eleocharis acicularis ) is found worldwide and impresses with its fine, grass-like appearance. It is ideal for the foreground of larger aquariums or the middle ground of nano tanks. By forming runners, it gradually spreads and forms a dense carpet of plants. To propagate, simply cut off a few runners and replant them.

When placing the in vitro-grown needle rush in the aquarium, the transparent nutrient medium should be carefully removed from the roots under running water. The stems are then cut back to about 1 cm. Divide the rootstock into smaller pieces and plant them in the substrate at a distance of about 3-5 cm - tweezers make this work much easier. This requires a little patience, but after a few days the plants will sprout again and adapt to the aquatic life.

Aquarium plants grown in vitro are free of pests, parasites or pathogens. We also guarantee that they are free of snails. Since no pesticides are used in their cultivation, these plants can be placed directly in the aquarium without having to be watered or quarantined.
