Apistogramma sp. "Abacaxis" is a rare and particularly attractive dwarf cichlid species from the Brazilian Amazon. This form impresses with its intense coloration, fine markings, and the typical, interesting behavior of Apistogramma. Especially the males, when kept in good conditions, display vibrant colors and elongated fins.

This species prefers well-structured aquariums with a fine sandy substrate, roots, leaf litter, and plenty of hiding places. Subdued lighting and soft, slightly acidic water promote well-being and vibrant colors. Apistogramma sp.
