Alternanthera reineckii 'Pink' XL

This plant, also known as pink-leaved parrot leaf, impresses with its pink to purple colored undersides of the leaves, which form an attractive contrast to green plants in the aquarium. The upper sides of the leaves are brown-red. It is ideal for the middle to background of the aquarium.

Under intense light, the red color of the leaves becomes more intense and the plant grows more compact. Under less light, it takes on greener tones.

Propagating Alternanthera reineckii 'Pink' is straightforward: plant a side shoot or a shoot tip as a cutting in the soil. This will soon form roots and develop into an independent plant.
