Alternanthera reineckii 'Pink' in pot

Alternanthera reineckii 'Pink' originally comes from South America. This plant, also known as pink-leaved parrot leaf, impresses with its pink to violet colored undersides of the leaves, which form an attractive contrast to green plants in the aquarium. The upper sides of the leaves are brown-red. It is ideal for the middle to background of the aquarium.

Under intense light, the red color of the leaves becomes more intense and the plant grows more compact. Under less light, it takes on greener tones.
