Anubias barteri Mini Coin

The Anubias 'Mini Coin' is a special variety of the Anubias barteri that was originally discovered in the Danish aquarium nursery Tropica. This plant is one of the smallest Anubias species, as each of its leaves is no bigger than a small fingernail. It is just as easy to care for as its mother plant and prefers shadier lighting conditions.

The Anubias 'Mini Coin' thrives best when it is attached to stones or tree roots in the aquarium. If it is planted in the substrate, care should be taken not to cover the creeping stem (rhizome) as this could lead to rot and the death of the plant. This plant branches quickly and forms dense cushions of small, round, dark green leaves. If it grows too densely, the plant can be carefully divided and the new shoots can be planted elsewhere in the aquarium.

It is perfect for nano aquariums, but can also add subtle accents to larger tanks.
